Laz spent 16+ years inside the engine rooms of technology: public companies, billion dollar enterprises, and fast moving startups, working as a systems administrator, Linux engineer, SRE, and cloud engineer. The work took him from South Florida to New York to San Francisco, running infrastructure where downtime was measured in dollars per minute.
Then he made a decision that engineers rarely make: he left the enterprise world to bring that level of engineering to the businesses that never get it. The 10 person law office. The dental practice. The warehouse. KYTHEL exists so that small businesses get the same discipline big companies pay millions for, from the same person who answers when they call.

Why KYTHEL exists
After 16+ years working as a systems administrator, Linux engineer, SRE, DevOps and cloud engineer, building and running infrastructure where downtime was measured in dollars per minute, Laz kept seeing the same thing: small businesses getting the worst of both worlds. Slow support from giant help desks, or a part time computer guy with no monitoring, no backups, and no plan.
