4K Surveillance and Storm Proof Power for a Doral Freight Warehouse
An international freight and cargo company operating a large warehouse in Doral had two problems that only show up when it is too late: loading docks nobody could see on video, and network equipment that dropped every time hurricane season flickered the power grid.
Where it stands: The company still calls about once a year for specific computer issues. The cameras and power protection have run through every storm season since.
The challenge
- Unmonitored loading bays left the company exposed in shipping disputes, inventory discrepancies, and cargo theft claims with no footage to settle any of it.
- South Florida power flickers dropped switches mid operation and threatened hardware that had no battery protection behind it.
What we built
Centralized 16U network rack
A proper enclosure for the managed switches, patch panels, and core hardware that had been living wherever there was shelf space.
4K night vision surveillance
A commercial NVR system covering warehouse aisles, staging zones, and every truck loading and unloading bay, day and night.
UPS battery overhaul
Diagnosed and replaced the failing battery banks in the warehouse UPS unit so switches and cameras ride through grid flickers instead of dropping with them.
The results
- Full video auditability of incoming and outgoing freight, which converts shipping disputes from arguments into two minute footage reviews.
- Core network and cameras stayed online through hurricane season power drops that previously took the whole system down.
